Vozduhan Client Documentation

Vozduhan Client is a high-performance system daemon designed to provide comprehensive host and container metrics with minimal CPU footprint.

Quickstart Installation

Deploy the daemon to any Linux x86_64 or ARM64 host with a single command:

curl -fsSL https://vozduhanclient.space/get | sh

Alternatively, install via standalone binary package:

wget https://releases.vozduhanclient.space/vdh-client-latest-linux-amd64.tar.gz
tar -xzf vdh-client-latest-linux-amd64.tar.gz
sudo mv vdh-client /usr/local/bin/
sudo vdh-client init --token=YOUR_ORGANIZATION_TOKEN

Architecture Overview

The client operates as an unprivileged background daemon. Rather than scraping expensive /proc trees on continuous polling loops, Vozduhan utilizes kernel-level ring buffers to track memory allocations, TCP socket states, and CPU cycles with near-zero overhead.

eBPF Telemetry Engine

Vozduhan compiles lightweight eBPF probe programs that load into the Linux kernel upon daemon start. This enables sub-millisecond anomaly detection without causing context switches in user space.

Configuration Reference

The configuration file resides at /etc/vozduhan/client.toml:

[node]
name = "node-eu-west-01"
datacenter = "eu-central"
tags = ["production", "kubernetes-worker"]

[telemetry]
interval_ms = 500
ebpf_tracing = true
socket_latency = true

[export]
endpoint = "https://ingest.vozduhanclient.space/v1/metrics"
batch_size = 128
compression = "zstd"

Resource Footprint Benchmarks

Comparative resource consumption tested across 1,000 active socket connections under sustained 10k req/sec load:

Agent RAM Usage CPU Overhead Binary Size
Vozduhan Client (v1.4) 11.8 MB < 0.08% 8.4 MB
Prometheus Node Exporter 28.4 MB 0.45% 22.1 MB
Datadog Agent 112.0 MB 2.10% 184.0 MB
